Sorry I didn't comment on this message sooner--meant to and forgot. I
don't work for Foxes, I don't know Eric Jacobs personally and nobody's paid
me to write a commercial -- but I live a few blocks from this store and can
highly recommend it. I'm not even sure how long Foxes has been in business
in Falls Church, but my husband and I have been customers for sheet music
and all sorts of musical doodads, for more than 25 years. (Foxes used to
be around the corner from my house, until the business succeeded so well
that it couldn't keep itself stuffed into that hole in the wall and moved
slightly farther away.) Kevin and I never order for UPS delivery, because
the store is within walking distance, but everything we've special-ordered
to pick up on foot has arrived in a reasonable amount of time, and the
store has always notified us when it arrived.

Foot traffic will notice that the store does not squander customers' money
on chi-chi decorator services. It didn't take long for the new premises to
look as much like a packrat's lair as the old place. Most customers come
in through the back door, from a cramped, littered back alley. If that
entrance aisle gets any more cluttered, then people will have to edge
through there crabwise to get to the front of the store without knocking
things over. Swank it ain't. But the folks who work there are musicians,
and if you need something, odds are they've got it in stock or they know
where to get it.
