I don't have time right now to list them all (found the article from
Sept 1975 Instrumentalist) but my favorite on Dan's worst 10 list was

Korsakov Concerto under the category Solo Clarinet and Band

Comments:

Instrumentation: Lots of people all playing loudly at all times plus
solo Clarinet who may be in the next country for all the difference it
makes.

Commentary:
Can you imagine?

were a list of least favorite works for trombone instead of clarinet,
Rimsky-Korsakov would show up again. You mean you have never heard the
Concerto for Trombone and band either? You have lived only half a
life. It's infinitely louder and far more numbing than the Concerto
