I just want to make one comment here. I saw SmartMusic at the Flute
convention this past summer. It is indeed a very slick program.
About the tuner, though...I had a long discussion about the tuner with
the SmartMusic rep, and it currently will not sound a pitch for you to
play intervals against. It is a standard "stop the needle" tuner, which
in my very opinionated view is next to useless. I know lots of players
who can "stop the needle" on a tuner who can't play in tune to save their
lives!! The rep said they were working on this as a feature for some
future edition of SmartMusic.
I know this is a tangent to the current discussion, but I thought it was
important to mention it.
