Ken,

Generally....

The kind of water issue you describe is often related to a slower than
needed airstream through the bore. Keep the air supported at all times, so
the air (at whatever volume), continues to move fast.
The moisture will condense further down the bore if the air speed is higher.
(not on the back of your reed).

Give it a try.
