Thanks for the advice, Nancy and Gary and Stan.

I found a site (http://www.geocities.com/Vienna/Strasse/1946/adjust-go.html))
that had all the little screws enumerated, specifying what each one does.
Thus armed, I was able to get the instrument back into adjustment -- actually, it
may be better than before. So, no harm, no foul. But I was surely panicked.
Clarinet screws aren't nearly as fussy.

BTW, I tried to sign up for Doublereed-L a while back, but the confirmation
message bounced. Maybe I'll try again.
