Nancy, don't forget Cocus - my favorite wood for clarinet mouthpieces. It looks a lot like cocobolo, but it's less absorbent and therefore more stable.
I had a really great one - made from a Zinner blank - and I stupidly SOLD IT....SOB! I haven't found one that good again.
