Dan,

I suppose Yiddish _folk_ dancing would be more accurate. It's not the
language which is dancing, after all.

I do not know most of the dances, but I know that the 'sher' is a lot like
a square dance, and we learned a line dance (stand in a line with your
right hand on the right shoulder of the person in front of you) in our
last rehearsal to master the rhythmic feel of the piece. There is also, of
course, the 'horas' of hava nagila fame, though in klezmer, a hora is
actually in 3 with a limp. At a celebration, when they request the 'hora'
you really just play a freilach (bulgar) medley...
