I owned a full Boehm Centered-Tone Selmer in the mid '50s. My folks paid
full boat for it from the local store: $800. I never did like the horn,
because of it's stuffiness and poor intonation, not to mention leaks caused
by the articulated G#/Ab and the forked Eb/Bb mechanisms. The G#/Ab tone
hole went straight through the middle tendon joint cork!. I did like the
low Eb, though, especially since I was too poor to own an A clarinet.

The e-Bay purchase price is way too high ($2100). For about $1800 you can
buy a great Patricola C.... new.
