It appears to be a good instrument but that price is strange. Notice
that the history of the instrument is said to be brand new and was found
in a old shop that closed down, meaning that the instrument has probably
been there for some time (not that there is anything bad about that).
The instrument is a center tone model and Selmer has not made those for
some time.

Bottom line is that I don't thing the original purchase price was what
the store paid for it or what the store would have sold it for at the
time of its purchase.

The comparable models that are being sold today for $4000 (according to
the ad) are not comparable.
