Mark, thank you for the interesting look at American geography. Of course,
Canada is not party of American (though it is North American) geography, but
more to the point, Canadians in Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba would
either laugh or be insulted to be told they were living in the Midwest. They
don't live in anyone's Midwest. Canadians call these three provinces the
Prairies.
