The local newspaper in my town, "The Los Altos (CA) Town Crier"
announced a new product by a local company that will eliminate forever
your need to turn pages, but it costs a fortune.

See www.freehandsystems.com

which consists of a personal computer tablet designed for displaying
sheet music while leaving the hands free for playing. (I'd rather have
one that plays and I'll turn the pages, thankyou.)

Runs on batterys that last 3 hours and costs $1195. It turns pages
either with a foot pedal or else a quick tap on the screen.

See page 48 of the Nov. 26, Town Crier at www.losaltosonline.com for a
picture of the stand. It holds 5,000 pages and more with an expansion
kit. (I don't think that's enough for either Mahler 6 or Strauss' Frau
Ohne Schatten.)
