Well, Forest, I'm not so sure I can really quite explain what I'm thinking
exactly, but I'll try. And I'm going to try and make it quick, because after
all, this is a CLARINET list.

It has to do with the *way* it's done, I suppose. Everyone has the
right to disagree with the current President's policies.

That I have no problem with.

We certainly have the right to speak up about it, too.

But I compare it with having respect for a parent or a teacher. You don't
have to *like* them, you don't have to agree with them, and you can even
TELL them as much, as long as it's done with respect.

But it's just plain rude to drag them through the mud and do the whole
name-calling bit. I think that some people get some satisfaction from
it somehow, like it makes them feel better to put someone else down.

That's about the best I can do right now without writing an essay. I have
an orchestra rehearsal to go to. :-)
