For similar reasons, and the fact he is on the right (left) side of the
Atlantic, Dan Leeson would be a worthy candidate (and a bloody good devil's
advocate).

No offence of course to Mark, but we can't let you free otherwise no-one
would look after Klarinet. Whereas that Dan Leeson guy has time to fantasise
about Tijuana Bibles and all...

Well, I think that's got you guys sorted, what to do about Australia now?

If you are all discontented with Bush, I`ll give you my vote, for what it`s
worth, but it won`t be for any one on your side of the ocean. My vote is for
Antony Pay. He`s logical, because he sees clearly. He doesn`t need any silly
advisers. He is understanding, and offers solutions to many problems. He is
a musician *and* a mathematician, so he should be able to come up with a
clarinet which has near perfect intonation. He`s argumentative to the point
of airing the occasional expletive, so he doesn`t suffer fools gladly, which
is where we came in with this political thread. Full circle. Could he handle
the position of President? He may not be interested, even if he were
invited, so it looks like a great deal of thinking will be needed inbetween
now and the next election to find a similar worthy candidate.
