I'm told Smartscore is the best for scanning music. I own a copy. But,
it's apparently continually developing. I've found you have to sometimes
go back and do extensive editing of what you've scanned in - text
recognition isn't all that good especially if you don't have a good copy.
And it doesn't do too well with music printed on a dot-matrix printer.
Very querky software package. It's transposition function is pretty good,
but it's musical notation function isn't as good as almost anything else
I've seen. I beleive you can do all that you mention below with this
software, remembering that it's querky and difficult sometimes. I think
you can download a trial version from their website.

It's mainly a scanning software package, though, and that's supposed to be
it's forte.

It's a small company out of California Their engineering is in Warsaw,
Poland. Their tech support is responsive and helpful if you e-mail them.
They didn't have a toll free phone # back when I was getting help on a few
