In college my clarinet professor had me write out all the major scales
from the beginning up and down and back to the start. I was forced to
remember because he started me out with All Sharps and All Flats scales
(it's been so long I can't remember their name ... uhgg!!!) He had me on
those for 3 weeks until I could do it in my sleep. Bottom line... what
worked for me was to write them out and then study them for 2-4 weeks
until my professor said it was time to move on. Then he had me do all
the scales every week so I didn't forget.
Good luck!!!
Will
