Bill said, "And the "case=20
gremlins" will occasionally take perfectly good instruments and wreck =
them=20
overnight in the case!"
I once had a man contact me about selling an older clarinet he had.
Fortunately, I let it sit in my garage until I could get it to the
technician I used at the time. Apparently, some sort of weevil or =
beetle
had gotten into the case and eaten the pads-can't remember what he =
called
them. He asked if I had taken the case into my house and breathed a =
sigh of
relief when I told him I had kept the clarinet in the garage. Those =
were
live "gremlins" for sure. UGH! The poor man thought he had an =
expensive
instrument and I ended up having to tell him it needed far more $ worth =
of
work than he wanted to get for the clarinet. I don't know what ever
happened to that thing after I returned it to him. =20
