Peter,
It WAS published by Carl Fischer and they have a Band Music division.
However, I'll guarantee it is POP. Maybe you could sweet-talk them into
printing up an "archival copy" of at least the score for you (then you'd
have to copy out the parts but at least you'd have the score). There are
concert bands around the country which have extensive holdings. One such
is the Goldman Band in NYC (if it still exists???) Another is
Kingsborough College in Brooklyn, NY. The band program there used to be
run by Simeon Loring, who built up a huge library. Start networking...
