The 52-series Yamahas have ALWAYS been intermediates. The 62's are pro
models, and the Custom series the super-pros. There is another series,
called Allegro, that sits between the 52's and 62's, but they are available
only through some selected dealers. They have the better pads of the 62's
and the 62 necks, among other differences, but are otherwise basically the
same as the 52's. It is likely that the 475's will have some of those
features, but I have not seen them yet. We do carry the Allegros, and they
are pretty nice. (My personal tenor has been a YTS-52, but I just picked
up a 1958 Martin and I think I am in love!)

If you have to mic a saxophone, the rest of the band is TOO LOUD!
