I once asked someone at WW&BW about why the sites appear to be identical other than ad placement and customization and he claimed it just must be done by the same web designer. I noted that the prices and descriptions and category listings were *identical*, but he refused to acknowledge any connection.

I'm sure there is an affiliation, though Music123 seems to focus more on guitars, drums, keyboards and their ilk. I'd bet that either they are owned by the same parent holding company, or more likely that they have an agreement to share resources, with each getting a cut of the other's proceeds depending on who an ordered is processed through. So if I order a guitar through WW&BW I suspect it's really coming from Music123 and that WW&BW gets a cut for having taken the order. They both gain something in that both sources now appear to be much larger and they can garner sales that might not otherwise occur if you had to shop separately for items from each.
