If you have an M3 you want to hear the engine. It is glorious.
I don't think for a moment that an XJS (V12 or otherwise) would do 165.

Now, if you had an XJS V-12, as I do, you could do all of that and
barely
hear the sound of the motor. Of course, the Jaguar casette player is
pathetic; but the radio is good - and 7000 rpms is 165 mph.
