Hi Dan,

Thanks a million! I knew you would be the right person to ask! I think we'll try out both possibilities: Bb and A clarinets. I don't yet know the other clarinettist. It's an ad hoc orchestra and the first rehearsal is two days before the first performance. I hope she goes along with it.

As far as why the conductor is adding the Kyrie to the Requiem ... No idea. I don't know the conductor either yet. I think I'll suggest leaving the Kyrie out and spending the money he thereby saves on the basset horn players!
