Karl,
I think you have a different reed than I bought. There are two different
versions I have seen on Weiners web site, traditional and Elite (which are
supposed to hand polished). Perhaps Olivieri has changed their packaging a
little.
I dug out a box of Olivieri Traditional Premium from the closet and there
are 10 reeds in the box. I bought these about a year ago. I think you have
basically the same reed, except the packaging has changed.
The reeds are slightly narrower than some other brands that I have, but it
does cover the window of my Greg Smith mouthpiece.
There are three possibilities I am thinking of here: one, that your table is
warped, or two, that the reed is warped (most likely need to sand down the
back), or three (less likely), that you ended up with a German cut reed
which would not fit well on a French mouthpiece and are indeed very narrow.

Actually, I'm not sure - the box doesn't say anything about Elite on it. It
says Premium reeds in the European tradition, and WW&BW's UPC label calls
them "Olivieri Traditional Clarinet Reed." So I don't see any reason to
think they're "Elite" reeds. They do come 5 in a flat, thin box.
