<snip of some excellent driving song recommendations by a couple of
obviously quite old guys ;^)>

Having listened to at least my fair share of loud music, I was interested in
an article I read a while ago that basically concluded that when listening
to loud music whilst driving, the test subjects invariably had greater
concentration to the straight-ahead with noticable reduction in vision to
the sides, along with a tendency towards higher speed.

Now, I can't remember how well the test was done, but I do subjectively
notice the same happening to me. I assume that said loud music would have to
be something agreeable to the driver, otherwise their concentration would be
on changing the flipping radio station ;^)

Oh, and I'm definitely not letting on how old I am now!

Dave.

Oh yeah, currently in the car:
Radio Tuned to (national) ABC Classic FM or (national) ABC Youth Radio - JJJ
(my wife swears I'm clinging to my childhood)
CD's
Madonna: Music (not my choice, honestly)
Triple J Hottest 100 Vol 5
Van Morrison: Greatest Hits
Diana Krall: Live in Paris
Groove Terminator: his first album - techno is great if you are having a
"fang"! - also good for toddlers (at least my little boy picks up the energy
really well)
