I no longer have the original post, but I don't remember that it said the
child had initiated the idea. It may have been the daughter's request that
started the process - I don't know. Of course, there's not much point in
saying, if the child asks, "No, you can't do it - you're too little." Let
her try. But then what you do next if the first attempts aren't successful
is where the questioning starts.
