I drive about 850 miles a week in my job. I always tell people that if the
stereo in the van quit, I would have to pull off to the side of the road
and call AAA for a tow! The van has a tape player, but I have the adapter
thingy so I can play CD's through it, too. I always keep a fresh
collection of things on board, usually about 40% big band jazz, 35%
classical, and the rest an eclectic bunch of "miscellaneous," including
tapes made of past performances of various groups I have played with. I
tend to play the classical music more on the days I have long drives
between schools, so the longer works are not broken up so much by stops. I
have over 150 tapes available to load into the truck, and maybe 300 or more
CD's, with more being made I as I slowly transfer LP's and 78's to that
format (replacing a lot of the tapes).

If you have to mic a saxophone, the rest of the band is TOO LOUD!
