Though I also want some CD's - got a long plane flight ahead of me, and
the canned music they give you 'phones for is dismal at best.

Which brings me to another question for you seasoned folks who take
music with you: What are the protocols for using CD players on board
planes when flying on international flights? Mine is battery-powered
and does NOT have a radio component, just headphones. I'm flying
United to Amsterdam, then United again from Amsterdam to Stockholm.

I will be calling the airlines to be sure, but at the same time, if
someone can help out here, I'll be grateful (since half the time, sales
folk and even customer service people don't always know ALL the policies!)
