There are not that many choices for alto clarinet mouthpieces.

I have tried Vandoren, Selmer, Hite, Woodwind, and two custom mouthpiece
makers. The one I like the best is the Vandoren B44. I played it on a
borrowed Bundy alto clarinet with a Vandoren 2 1/2 reed and on my 1997(?)
Buffet Alto Clarinet with a Vandoren 3. I actually have two B44s and they
are almost identical.

I am open to trying other mouthpieces (and have considered having the spare
B44 worked on). I like the sound I get with the B44 and the 3 reed,
especially in the upper register where it sounds (to me) very basset horn
like. One area that could be better is the responsiveness, especially just
above the break.
