The orchestra that my wife and I play in, the Skokie Valley Symphony, is having its first concert of the season.

It is a special memorial concert in honor of Yitzhak Rabin.

We are featuring Gil Shaham playing the Mendelssohn Violin Concerto, and we follow that with Symphony No. 5 by Shostakovich. The program begins with the Delius
Walk to Paradise Garden.
