Kevin -

I'd like to hear a quartet of "Sopranobones" play good old "Lassus
Trombones". Probably, only the old timers on the list have heard of "Lassus
Trombones", unless it has been revived as a crowd pleaser in a marching band
program. "The Old Grey Mare" (she ain't what she used to be) is another
featuring the slide abilities of the trombone that gets a good laugh.

Enough of the old days. It IS Friday - explains a lot.

Regards,

Gene N.

I have, as Trombone is my primary instrument (grantled I love clarinet). One
of my tutors had one, but he never let any of us touch it so I don't know
what it sounds like. My peers and I used to call it the Sopranobone.
