It's easier for me to keep track of where I am in a bar of repeated notes
or repeated patterns if I use a sentence, instead of just syllables. This
nonsense phrase of sixteen syllables is easy to remember and easy to
pronounce:

Lock a sticky toga in a ticky-tacky knicky-knacky.

One repetition is a 4/4 bar of 16th notes. Two repetitions makes a 4/4 bar
of 32nd notes. I invented that one all by myself -- quit booing! --
because it helps me to double tongue with just about the same mouth and
tongue movements, while keeping my place in the bar. I use the
eight-syllable "ticky-tacky knicky-knacky" by itself a lot, too.
