Translation time please.

How many tails on a 32nd note? I'm not quite sure if you are talking
about semiquavers, demisemi quavers or hemidemisemi quavers!

Hi List,

De-lurking for a moment, I have a question about 32nd notes. I know how
to
play them, I can state "duh-duh-duh...etc.", but I don't know how to
explain
them to someone. A young person asked me yesterday and I couldn't answer
him. I've been playing/learning/enjoying music for over 50 years, but
have
never had any formal theory training. I know how to explain 16th
notes..."one-e-and-uh" but have no clue for the 32nd notes. Can anyone
help
me out here?
TIA
Carlinda
