My apologies. I realize that you didn't say this. You spoke of the
'unconscious' part of music that even the composer can't state
explicitly.

I should've said "I have no dispute when a performer wants to convey the
music's true meaning", or something similar. I ran out of
proof-reading time and I hit the "SEND" button rather than wait until
later today.
