Of course we overanalyze.....
This is not a normal conversation, it is the internet, and the normal
conventions we have for slowing conversations down (yawning, excusing ourselves to go
to the bathroom, having to go fix dinner) don't apply. That's also why some
conversations get out of hand so quickly. Everyone with anything to say at
all, says it.....

But I write to say thankyou. I visited the 10 year old daughter of a nephew
recently. I'm too far from away from her to give lessons to her. She's in
public school, enjoys her clarinet, and has never had a lesson. We played
together enough for me to see she is struggling. How will I help from a distance?
I have ordered a Clark Fobes Debut and a Legere 3 (though I may go for a 2
1/2). I will hint strongly to my nephew that she gets a teacher and that her
rental instrument gets a going over. These things all come from listening to
the teachers here talk too much.

Thanks,
Wayne Thompson
