I like my Hawkins mouthpiece. It responds nicely, and has been extremely beneficial to me when I had some serious playing issues to work out. I don't think it is a mouthpiece I want to stay with forever, but it works nicely at the moment.

I had a Pyne as well, and have never quite figured out whether I just outgrew it, or what happened, but over time it became impossible to play. I had my teacher at the time play it (before I bought it) and we both liked it, but 2 years later I was to a point where nothing would come out of it. I once again had my teacher (a different one because I was now at a new school) play on it and was told they didn't know why I ever bought the thing. I have played on several other Pynes since then and liked them, so when I am ready for a change in my setup, I'll probably test the Pyne again....who knows what I'll buy. It could be a Hawkins, a Pyne, or maybe something else. I'll face that decision when the time comes. Happy hunting for your perfect fit though! :)
