I rather doubt this is good netiquette, but I would like to make a
shameless
commercial plug. The new clarinet quartet I'm founding has a web site
that I'm selling quartet arrangements of
mine in the music section.

Dan, replying to another note questioning the arrangement copyrights,
yes they are under copyright and you can't do an arrangement of them
unless given permission by the Copyright Holder. One of the pieces
"Waltz for Debbie" written by Bill Evans - I do some film management
work for his son Evan Evans and rep the MP3.com Page for his dad's
account Bill Evans as well. You aren't authorized to make your own
edition of that work (and I'm guessing that you didn't get permission
for any of the Jazz works which are all under copyright). As well, you
can't record the tracks without a license from Harry Fox.
