someone said that the guy could be buying his own items on ebay, but to get
an extra point beside your name, the transactions need to be from seperate
sellers. The guy had around 19 000 (i think), which means over 19 000
transactions with different people- i doubt he has this many friends. You
get some bastards on ebay who leave negative feedback because postage is too
high... i wouldn't judge people by the number of negative feedbacks or
positive feedbacks, i would have a read of some of each and then make a
decision.

A potential buyer could just
go by the "98.4%" positive statistic.

I am personally leary of anyone with less that a 99.8%. Of course there are
people who post frivilous negatives but a good reputable seller will have
very high feedback. I rarely see percentages under 99% even in very high
feedback ratings. If you are planning on bidding on a high priced item it is
worth skimming through all the feedback and reading the negatives. Also,
check to see if alot of the positives are from unregistered users.
