Unfortunately, Steve gets upset at everything. He can be quite
unpleasant when he wishes to be, and difficult to deal with as I have
found to be frequently the case, even from innocuous and innocent comments.

Having the ability to make a good instrument is not necessarily
synonymous with being polite and acting with restraint and dignity. In
the case at hand, he does not know or has failed to remember that about
which he speaks with respect to the shipment of my instrument to him. I
did exactly what he suggested and it still caused me $25 in customs duties.

What is "driving everyone in the profession absolutely round the bend"
is really an expression of Steve's impatience with any perceived slight.
