A barrel that I bought from Morrie Backun was charged a fee of some sort
(in addition to postage, which I believe Morrie paid). I'm reasonably
(but not absolutely) certain that the yellow slip attached had a box
checked on it which said that the fee was for "duty". Since the fee was
only $5-$10, I shrugged my shoulders and paid without further
investigation.

Perhaps several of us would profit by a complete explanation of the
'right' and 'wrong' ways to ship merchandise between Canada and U.S.
Perhaps the U.S. Postal Service has different procedures than private
carriers such as Federal Express?
