Bob,

I've done this by using the sound edit application from Adaptec EZ CD Creator 4 (sndedit.exe). You just have to make sure you have the SW Synth specified as input in the record settings of the volume control applet. I do not believe sndedit is included in the later Roxio EZ CD Creator 5, though.
