Hello list,

I zhink I have to add something absurd told me by one of my pupils. Normally
I talk once or twice a year about cleaning and oiling etc. When I talked to
a new student. She told me that she has a perfect system of cleaning her
clarinet and needs no advice. So I asked her to tell me because I want to
learn it. She told me that in her "Musikverein" they have been told to use
hot water !! and soap normnally used for the dishes... And put the calrinet
for about 20 minutes in it with pads, corks and so on. After that they wash
it with clear water.

I personally was alittle bit shocked. Ever heard of something like this??

Best Georg
