Dear listmembers,

I want to share with you, that you can see me in the US in a " three =
Cantors
concert: Faith in song" (the cantors Naftali Herstik, Alberto Mizrahi =
and
Benzion Miller). We (a Dutch orchestra) accompanied a lot of new =
arranged
Jewish songs. Out of two concerts in a synagoge in Amsterdam they =
compiled a
TV registration. At the moment they are making the DVD and CD. I =
didn=B4t know
this genre of music very well, but it touched me by heart! Popular tunes
like Sunris, dunset from fiddler on the roof, Havenu Shalom Aleichem, =
Mayun
Yiddishe Mama en Tumbalalaika, but also the prayers Kaddish, Haber, =
Avinu
Malkenu, Kol Nidre en Ki Lo Noeh and V=FDerushalyim Ircho psalms. All =
music
arranged by the US composer Benedict Weisser.=20

I haven=B4t seen it yet, so I will be curious too. There are two
clarinetplayers in the orchestra, second chair my colleage (with bass
clarinet) and me the first chair.

They=B4ve planned to make a European and a US tour (the latter probably =
not
with our orchestra due to the huge costs involved, snif snif).
