There were a lot of changes in the early days of the 10G, as they agressively sought input from the clarinet world. Wasn't it Lenny Gullota (sp?) who was working so closely with Gigliotti at the time? What ever happened to him?

Anyway, I remember my teacher saying, "First the bells were too long, Now they're too short!" So I think a lot of experimentation went on.

Maybe I got special barrels that never went into mass production? I got my 10G's through David Shifrin, who was promoting them in those days. (I remember getting quite upset with him, after getting my Selmer 10G's through him, then watching him switch back to Buffet!!!!!!! LOL
