Hi Jamie,

I collect older Buffets, mostly late 1800s and early 1900s. Although you can
not fix an exact date, it may be possible to determine the decade that the
clarinet was made by it's construction: the style of springs that were used,
the method of attachment, the register key style, the number of posts that
were used, etc..

With Buffets, the exact logo and other stamped material (i.e. LP/HP) also
helps in determining date... not sure if this is the case with LeBlanc. Does
the clarinet say "Made in France" or just "France" that will help as well.

Would you have a picture of the clarinet showing some key detail of both
the upper and lower middle sections?

If so, please send to vicbrincat@-----.

Cheers!
