This is one of the most ignorant obituaries I have seen. The writer clearly
has no idea of what a clarinet is, the difference between a bassett horn and
a bassett clarinet, what a "red hot fountain pen" is, or, most importantly,
Brymer's place amoung 20th century clarinettists.

Let us honor Mr Brymer's memory with a hearing of one of his recordings (I
am fond of the Haydn wind divertimenti with the London Wind Soloists, from
circa 1970) and a reading of the chapter on teaching young clarinettists
from his masterful little book, Clarinet.

Ciao
