I made an error in an earlier note when I suggested that the entire
collection in the Jerusalem libarary was commissioned by Bellison, The
Esquisses was not. The title page of both op. 12, and 13 show a
dedication to Jules Engel. Since I presume that Krein would not have
dedicated the work to Engel but have it commissioned by Bellison, I
therefore concluded that Bellison was not involved in the commisioning
of the Krein. That doesn't mean that Engel was either. So it is a
small puzzle.
