> Well, we are ready for the hurricane and our hurricane watch was just =
issued for the Baltimore area. The last time we had a storm, we didn't =
prepare and had to go without until water and basic supplies were =
brought in. Never again. I went yesterday to get water, batteries and =
food. We hooked up our generator so we will have power to run the =
refrigerators and have light. All we have to do is throw the switch. =
The boat has been pulled out of the water, trailered and strapped down =
to a concrete pad in the yard and we helped the next door neighbor close =
his pool and sent water, batteries, a radio, candles and some food =
across the street to the little old lady who lives there. We have ice =
on order for Wednesday night in case someone should need it. I have =
lamp oil and candles and firewood in the house. All of my potted plants =
will be brought indoors, the grill has been strapped to the deck and the =
lawn furniture put in the shed, the gutters have been cleaned and the =
trash cans and recycle bins will go into the basement Wednesday evening. =
I will fill the gas cans this afternoon. And I have a nice stack of =
books to read and a whole pile of new music to learn. What are the rest =
of our hurricane bound folks doing?
