Thank you - unfortunately, there's too much material in front of the speaker tube to get at it, I suspect, though I could well be wrong.
I would need to buy some appropriate pliers to try this -
not a particular problem as they would have other uses
, no doubt, always assuming I can find somewhere in this town full of wine bars,
coffee shops and tourist traps where I can buy them.
The instrument is an old Buffet, by the way.
