That is fine if you live in an area that doesn't have it already in
the air. I've had students with plastic Mp's clarinet keys tarnish.
One students Clarinet tarnished overnight when they painted the
house!!!

Strips are extremely inexpensive as in $6 for 5 strips each strip
lasting up to a year. There are other brands besides 3M as well.

The ones I use are from WJ Hagerty in (coincedently) South Bend, IN
and their # is 800-348-5162

They are a pain to find as most hardware stores haven't even heard of
them!
