i have played the curved sops, but not the yanis... didn't realise they make
them. There are a fair few different theories about curved sops... selmer
don't make them because they think the intonation is better on a straight
one. I've played an old con curved and i thought it sounded fantastic. Some
famous players have used them, but most use straight. The keys are closer
together on a curved which might suit you. I don't see the problem with
wearing a neck strap with a straight alto- people wear them with clarinets.
