Orchestra last night was a blast. In addition to the three operas we =
are working on (Don Juan, La Boheme and Othello) we are doing Bizet's =
Symphony in C, Dvorak's "The Moldau" and John Williams' music from "Star =
Wars" and the Harry Potter "Chamber of Secrets" music. Never in my =
years of playing have I ever been told that I was too loud. Well, last =
night it happened several times. We have a bunch of other stuff in the =
folders that we didn't even get to. While I can't say I was in the most =
musical frame of mind last night, it was obvious that the clarinet =
section was there. Seriously though, if you can see your way to spend =
the money, these barrels and bells will change your playing in ways not =
imaginable.
